<image:caption>The TRAM flap (transverse rectum abdominis muscle flap) requires the transposition of a portion of skin and subcutaneous tissue keeping it connected to the abdominal blood vessels that feed it but performing an incision on the rectus abdominis muscle in order to untether them and perform the transposition. Another flap from the abdomen is the DIEP flap (deep inferior epigastric artery perforator flap): skin and subcutaneous tissues are harvested, the abdominal muscles are only incised to reach the deepest part of the blood vessels that will feed the flap once grafted on the chest and connected to the local blood vessels.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The latissimus dorsi muscle flap is an eye-shaped portion of skin and muscle harvested from the lateral part of the back, at about the same height as the breast, which is then repositioned on the chest. This technique is used to provide more tissue to the breast or substitute damaged tissue because of radiation therapy, but usually, it does not exclude the need for a prosthetic implant.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Think outside the flat box</image:title>
<image:caption>Everything in nature can be modelled and shaped. After 15 years of flat matrices that need to be adapted by the surgeon, here’s Braxon® Fast: the collagen cup already adapted to create the perfect shape for the patients. Still 100% natural. Not chemically altered. VOLUMATRIX®: DECOmed’s innovative manufacturing process for a pre-curved ADM matching perfectly the breast implant shape.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Regular Braxon® is still available</image:title>

      <image:title>Home - Think inside the breast</image:title>
<image:caption>Cooper’s ligaments and Vesalio’s posterior suspensory fascia cushion the dynamic loads of the mammary gland. Braxon® Fast is a perfect model of Biomimicry: it will take the same biological and mechanical functions of those ligaments removed during the mastectomy. Once remodelled, it will regenerate the elastic and suspensory periglandular structure to restore natural breast movements.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Volumatrix</image:title>
<image:caption>Before it reaches the breaking point, any material in nature can be moulded to keep its new shape. We have performed mechanical tests of elasticity, deformation and rupture on our membranes to identify the loads to which an ADM will maintain its new tridimensional shape. We have pushed collagen fibres to the point where the new shape remains: this specific process has been named VOLUMATRIX®. The crafted lens-shaped section fits like a glove on the surface of the breast prosthesis, wrapping the implant in a soft and thin collagen layer.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The organism detects the silicone breast implant as a foreign body, increasing inflammation, seroma production and leading to capsular contracture. The bio-active collagen cover of Braxon® Fast minimises the foreign body reaction guiding the formation of a soft, thin and elastic capsule. The remodelling process will integrate Braxon® Fast, hiding entirely the presence of the breast implant to the organism.</image:caption>
